Finn
Finn Hombergen is an early career occupational therapist who completed his Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Southern Cross University on the Gold Coast.
Since graduating, Finn has worked exclusively in the NDIS space and is very familiar with NDIS processes, reporting requirements, and funding applications. He has also worked as a support worker and allied health assistant since 2018, giving him a strong understanding of participant needs across day-to-day supports and capacity building.
Finn enjoys working alongside individuals, families, and care teams to build practical strategies that support independence and meaningful goal attainment. He has experience supporting adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD, with emotional regulation commonly forming a core focus of intervention. Finn also works effectively with adults with psychosocial disabilities, drawing on a cognitive behavioural approach when appropriate.
In the physical disability space, Finn has supported participants to access and implement a wide range of assistive technology and complex supports. He has completed functional and environmental assessments and developed detailed recommendations for items such as bedding and pressure care solutions, seating and positioning supports (including ELR chairs), and powered and manual wheelchairs. Finn is also experienced working alongside Supported Independent Living and Specialist Disability Accommodation teams, and is known for his practical, on-the-ground approach that builds strong care-team buy-in and improves day-to-day follow-through.
Finn is passionate about helping people recognise their potential and achieve their goals. He prioritises building strong therapeutic relationships with participants and their families and takes a holistic, person-centred approach to practice.
Finn has recently relocated to Perth. He is available to provide telehealth services Australia-wide and face-to-face services for Perth-based participants. Many of our Melbourne-based participants have chosen to continue working with Finn via telehealth, reflecting the strong rapport and outcomes he consistently achieves. Finn is excited to be home and looks forward to growing Easy Living OT in Perth.
